We, as members of the Body of Christ, participate in many building activities. Some of these activities occur on a weekly basis, to continually renew our spirits and cause healthy growth within the body. Click on an activity below for more details... |
| When & Where: Many of the saints gather in smaller, more intimate groups to participate in the breaking of Bread (symbolizing the Lord's broken body) and drinking of Wine (symbolizing the shedding of the Lord's blood)... as we do this in rememberance of Him. These are sweet times of prayer and praise. We practice these symbols as smaller groups in the homes, so that many can experience the sweetness of the Lord's mercy. It only takes a few believers to come together and worship Him for all He has done for us. |
| The Lord's table is a miniature expression of the Body of Christ in the homes of the believers. It should stand on the ground of oneness, indicating that all genuine believers, those who receive the common faith, based on the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, are members of that spiritual Body and have a right to partake of His table. Consequently, anyone the Lord receives, we must also receive as a member of His Body. The bread on the table expresses this one Body and we must not be divided against others because of their doctrinal differences or various practices. The Body's stand should not be one of imposing nor opposing on matters that are not essential to our common salvation. However, those matters that are essential to our regeneration, involving the person and work of Jesus Christ, we must be in total agreement. On other matters which we refer to as our beliefs and practices, that do not directly effect our regeneration, but our growth and maturity in life, we must be forbearing and pursue the truth until we all arrive at the oneness of the faith (Ephesians 4:13). Here we must display liberality in those matters which are non-essential to our common salvation. Yet in all things we should be most careful to do so out of love as Paul mentions in 1 Corinthians 13. Love is the glue that holds together his fellowship concerning the Body in chapters 12 and 14. We gather together to remember the Lord at His table. The bread and the cup remind us of the Lord’s wonderful Person and His glorious work. By partaking of these symbols we declare His death, which redeemed us. We also look forward to His coming Kingdom. After the table we read the Word of God and speak to one another the words of admonition and exhortation. In this way we feed one another, strengthen one another, encourage one another, console one another, and build up one another. At the Lord’s table, Christ, Himself is displayed in symbols. The symbols usher us into the reality of eating and drinking the Lord as the Spirit. Christ is also the content of the living Word. By speaking to one another in spirit, we minister to one another the Christ we experience and enjoy. |
| A Lord's table Testimony... |
"The Lord’s table always helps refocus me every week. It is both a praise to the Lord of what I gained of Him last week, and an encouragement to gain Him the next week. The speaking part of the meeting is enlightening and feeding when many brothers and sisters speak what they have enjoyed. It also motivates me to labor in the Word of God daily, so I also will have something edifying to speak to the church." |

The bread which we break, is it not the fellowship of the body of Christ? 17 Seeing that there is one bread, we who are many are one Body; for we all partake of the one bread. 1 Corinthians 11:23-2623 For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread, 24 And having given thanks, He broke it and said, This is My body, which is given for you; this do unto the remembrance of Me. 25 Similarly also the cup after they had dined, saying, This cup is the new covenant established in My blood; this do, as often as you drink it, unto the remembrance of Me. 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you declare the Lord's death until He comes. Acts 2:4242 And they continued steadfastly in the teaching and the fellowship of the apostles, in the breaking of bread and the prayers. |
| When & Where: We meet at the Penn Ave. Meeting Hall at 7:00 pm, Tuesday Nights, preceded by dinner at 6:00 pm. |
|
We enjoy fellowship together during dinner, and then feed on the spiritual riches of God's Word at 7:00 pm. Our goal is to understand God's Word and apply it to our daily life. The application of the Word is through having Christ revealed and supplied to us as our daily enjoyment and reality: "The law was given through Moses; grace and reality came through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17). Christ is embodied in the Word. When we read the Word and pray it into us, the Spirit in the Word strengthens us into our inner man so Christ can make His home in our hearts. |

| Morning Revival is when one has personal time with the Lord Jesus Christ in order to cultivate a more intimate relationship with Him. Since the Lord is building up the Body through each member (Ephesians 4:16), every person's relationship with Christ Jesus is critical. However, it may help to have this time together with others for strengthening and support so one will be more prone to keep this time separated unto the Lord each day. Morning revival is not merely for the sake of each individual. Rather, it is so each person partaking of the riches of Christ, may have some riches of Christ available to impart to other Christians. By this means, the members of the Body of Christ receive encouragement, consolation, or building up. Being revived may even inspire a brother or sister to speak about Christ to someone they come in contact with because they realize this person needs to hear the truth of the gospel they are currently enjoying. Morning Revival helps us tap into the divine supply given from within the Triune God. Here we find all the divine and human realities, such as, love, light, righteousness, holiness, Spirit, life, revelation, grace, truth, kindness, forgiveness, thankfulness, etc. Our enemy, Satan, desires to wholly rob every believer of having any of these precious items from God. So he fills our human lives with every possible distraction, beginning from the minute we wake up until we go to bed at night. Satan knows that if we are fully distracted, we become his willing subjects, blinded and unable to receive any real light concerning ourselves. To defeat Satan we need to properly commune with the Lord. Morning Revival provides us a holy time in which we can pray, hear God's speaking from His Holy Word, and be inspired through the use of hymns and spiritual songs. We may also have fellowship with one another for mutual edification. Consequently, we will be saved from being selfish, independent, and at odds with the Lord and other Christians. Our conscience will not lose its sensitivity, always seeking to be right towards God and man. We will be able to refrain from boasting in ourselves, but always willing to serve others in a meek yet strong spirit. Even if we are misunderstood, we will not be as prone to justify or vindicate ourselves, but to do what is best for the believers we are with for their building up. |

| "I have been sustained quite often by having Morning Revival. It is too easy to become consumed with one's day and not touch the Lord. Exercising one's spirit in the morning is surely a key to being made alive. Otherwise, it is so simple just to live out your own thoughts, emotions, desires and culture which are actually devoid of Christ. It is easy to be religious, thinking that you are living, but in reality you are dead. Here is a litmus test one can follow to gage themselves: Do you bring life to others or complaints to others; do you grace others or place burdens on others; do you labor in the church willingly, or is it a pain to give up your time, finances, and resources; do you care for others out of love and suffer on their behalf or do you merely suffer out of duty or obligation; do you desire to be noticed and appreciated or are you able to be forgotten, mistreated, and unappreciated, waiting patiently on the Lord for His reward? Since I am not able to pass this test without touching the Lord each day, I seek to be with the brothers every morning because I can not live a proper Christian life without being revived!" |

| Prayers provide a way for us to connect with each other. Through singing, sharing, praying, we really touch the Lord and one another spiritually. Our prayers get answered by being together, praying in one accord. It makes me feel a sense of belonging to this Big family. You are supplied by God's life and support each other in Christ's love. You surely are close to God by participating in the weekly prayer meeting. God does accomplish His will regardless of our faithfulness in prayers. The experience is much sweeter when we pray and the Lord answers. This builds up the Body through providing a homey atmosphere for the saints for regular Christian fellowship and prayer. The time is enjoyable for all participants. Without the meetings, families have no way to spend time to know our saints and new ones in a relaxed atmosphere. We use the opportunity to share Christ with one another. |
